Meet the Walter’s Walks Family
Professional Animal Lover, at Your Pet’s Service!
As the owner and founder of Walter’s Walks Pet Sitting & Dog Walking, I have always had a deep affection for animals, from dogs and cats to horses and iguanas. After relocating to Leland, NC in 2019, I transitioned from the world of being a gymnastics coach to a profession more in line with my passion—animal care.
Inspired by a local advertisement for pet services, I found my calling in dog walking and pet care. Over a wonderful 3 ½ year tenure, I not only honed my skills but also earned my Pet CPR, First Aid, and Fear Free Professional Certifications, in addition to becoming a lead pet sitter, dog walker, and assitant manager to the company.
When the company I worked for closed in October 2022, I saw an opportunity to fill the void by launching Walter’s Walks, a boutique dog walking and cat care service in Leland.
Walter was our precious baby boy you see pictured with me, and has since crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. I wanted to honor him, so what better way than to name the company after him.
Our goal is to provide premier pet care services, offering support to busy pet owners who require help with routine walks, important potty breaks, and nurturing engagement with their beloved fur babies.
At Walter’s Walks, we aim to foster a network of trusted pet care providers, putting community over competition. Our objective extends beyond just pet sitting and dog walking; we collaborate with groomers, trainers, vets, and pet stores to deliver well-rounded services to our pet parent community.
Meet Our Leland Pet Care Professional
Hey There! My name is Geneva, I am a supermom who’s not only navigating the joys and challenges of raising two energetic boys (10 and 16) but also delighting in the company of our lively household pets!
We’ve got two sassy cats, Jones and Bella, and two pampered pups, Kaya and Remi, who rule the roost with their undeniable charm.
My love for animals is at the heart of everything I do. With over five years of hands-on experience in a vet clinic and pet care, I’m dedicated to ensuring every furry friend (and their human counterparts) receives the best care possible.
I’m also certified in both pet CPR and human CPR, so I’m prepared for anything that comes our way.
Life in our home is a whirlwind of affection, laughter, and the occasional game of chase with a furball.
But through all the fun and chaos, my deep passion for animals shines through in everything I do. I wouldn’t trade this wonderfully wild adventure for anything!
